It is with great sadness we reach out to you to report the passing of our partner, colleague and friend Cliff Carter after a brief illness.

All of you would have surely gotten to know Cliff as you signed on with the firm, and he ably negotiated you through the uncertain and stressful early stages of your case.

Cliff was a great lawyer and a phenomenal person.  We cannot express how much he will be missed by us all here at Carter Wolden Curtis.  Gina and Cliff worked together for over twenty years, and Cliff, Lance and Kirk have been friends and partners for over a decade.  I know you are very sad to hear this news as well.  It would be unrealistic for you not to wonder and hope this loss will not affect your case. Rest assured, the firm will continue to handle your case with the same efficiency and professionalism we have since the inception of Carter Wolden Curtis.

Cliff’s proudest achievement (aside from his beloved family) was the Carter Wolden Curtis law firm.  In his honor, we will work as hard as it takes to make sure your case continues to receive the attention it deserves, and to achieve a satisfactory outcome that truly reflects the impact of your injury on your life and those around you.

Lance and Kirk are standing by to speak to you personally regarding any concerns or worries you might have.  Just let Gina, Teresa, Cindy or Linda know, and we will set up a time to talk.  In the interim, please know that it is our goal to make sure things feel as much the same as they did before this sad event.

Again, we are very sorry to deliver this tragic news.  Our brief tribute to Cliff follows this letter.

Very Truly Yours,

CARTER WOLDEN CURTIS, LLP

CLIFFORD LEE CARTER

05/04/1964 - 06/23/2020

Cliff has always been there for myself and others. We have had some amazing discussions and I will miss him. Truly a loss for all who knew him. Condolences to the entire family.

Cliff was truly a wonderful guy. It was deeply apparent how much he loved his family and I’m so happy he was able to walk his beautiful LeeAnne down the aisle. The world is a much better place because of him

Cliff was a great attorney and an even better man. He will be missed.

Gone from our sight but never from our hearts we are so sorry for your loss our thoughts and prayers are with you we wish you healing and peace, he was a wonderful person and great coach thank you for everything you have done for our kids never forget that. Again sorry for your loss.

I am heartbroken to hear of Cliff’s passing. He was one of the original soccer trailblazers that was in it for the right reason…the kids! Cliff’s legacy within the soccer community & beyond will live on forever. Thoughts & Prayers to Peggy & the kids. Xoxo

I wouldn’t be coaching soccer without Cliff Carter. I guess he saw something in me. There wouldn’t have been Cavitt Academy, BOCA, and what eventually turned into Union FC without Cliff Carter. He was the catalyst for all of it and it was done out of the kindness of his heart.
