FOUNDING PARTNER
Lance Curtis
As one of the founding partners at Carter Wolden Curtis, Lance brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table, particularly in managing personal injury cases. His expertise extends from negotiating and resolving cases before litigation to securing successful verdicts in numerous jury trials. Early in his legal career, Lance served as a litigation attorney for multiple insurance carriers, providing him valuable insight into how insurance companies assess the value of personal injury cases. This knowledge informs his approach at Carter Wolden Curtis, ensuring the optimal outcome for each case.
Having tried cases to juries both as a defense and plaintiff attorney, Lance has dedicated the past 13 years to advocating for fair compensation on behalf of injured clients, resulting in several seven-figure verdicts. With 25 years of experience in the personal injury field, he possesses the necessary knowledge and expertise to guide clients through the complex process of obtaining just compensation, whether through early settlements or compelling insurance carriers to pay through successful trial verdicts.
Beyond his legal work, Lance actively engages in community service, supporting causes such as Albie Aware for breast cancer awareness, Scooter’s Pals animal rescue, and various local school benefits. He is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California and the Capital City Trial Lawyers Association, where he previously served as a board member. Lance has been a member of the State Bar of California and has been admitted to practice in the Federal Court for the Eastern District of California since 1998.
Married with three children, Lance finds joy in bringing his family Labrador, “Carl,” to the office, providing emotional support for clients.
