Camp Fire lawsuits are being filed against PG&E and the plaintiffs are alleging that the utility company is responsible for the wildfires that torched Paradise and multiple other neighboring towns.
Although there’s no official word of what exactly started the fire on November the 8, families and law firms alike are confident PG&E is to blame.
PG&E officials have acknowledge the Camp Fire lawsuits, but haven’t addressed them in detail
“We are aware of lawsuits regarding the Camp Fire,” the company wrote in an email. “Right now, our primary focus is on supporting first responders and positioning our employees to assess damage, restore service and rebuild infrastructure, and helping our communities.”
PG&E has a history being at fault for their equipment starting wildfires
This isn’t the first time PG&E equipment is under questioning for being the initial cause for fires across Northern California. Cal Fire records suggest that PG&E have been found on multiple occasion to be at fault and violating state codes in failing to clear brushes around its power lines and equipment.
